Abstract

In the organization there are some employees voluntarily doing workers outside the main duties (responsibilities). However, based on preliminary results on nurses at regional public hospital of Bekasi City, the fact that behavior which is often referred to as organizational citizenship behavior in these institutions still tends to be low. The low organizational citizenship behavior is thought to be related to the lack of social awareness and their lack of commitment to the organization. This quantitative correlational research uses questionnaires distributed to 150 nurses in regional public hospital of Bekasi City which are obtained through stratified random sampling techniques. The interesting thing in this study is the results of all research hypotheses showing Ho's acceptance, which means that the high and low social awareness and commitment of nurses to the organization did not significantly influence the high and low Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
