Abstract

In Indonesia, the growth rate of kpop is very rapid, not
infrequently boy band and girl band fans often have negative
assumptions from society. Where it tends to be viewed
negatively and stereotyped as a fanatic, obsessive, hysterical,
crazy, and consumptive figure. Based on previous research, no
one has explained the background of the phenomenon of
people's views on kpopers specifically. Therefore, this
researcher aims to find out how prejudice against kpopers in
Indonesian society can arise and find out how to reduce the
prejudice. The research method used is the literature study
method. Literature searches are carried out by accessing
electronic databases online from Pubmed, Google Scholar,
science direct, and other reading sources. for the selection of
journals the author tries to classify based on the last 10 years,
and the suitability of the information needed. So that the total
literature that the author uses is 8 scientific literature consisting
of books and journals. Based on the results of 8 literature
obtained information about the definition of prejudice, the
source of prejudice and how to reduce prejudice. It can be
concluded that prejudice is part of the affective or emotional
component that forms a negative attitude or form of Intergroup
relations. Prejudice itself is always closely related to
Stereotypes and also Discrimination. Then in overcoming or
reducing prejudice can be done by increasing contact from
other groups, building cooperation and interdependence,
shifting stereotypes on groups with an exception, providing
multicultural education.
