Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of PIKSEL: Penelitian Ilmu Komputer Sistem Embedded and Logic upholds a strict anti-plagiarism policy, outlining actions (penalties) if plagiarism is found in any submitted article.
Definition:
Plagiarism is defined as an intentional or unintentional act of obtaining or attempting to obtain credit for scientific work by copying parts or the entirety of another’s work, without appropriately or adequately acknowledging the source.
Policy:
All articles submitted must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Any material directly quoted from other sources must be clearly identified to distinguish it from original content.
Actions Based on Plagiarism Level:
- Minor Plagiarism (small phrases or sentences copied without citation): Authors will receive a warning and must revise the text with proper citations.
- Moderate to Major Plagiarism (significant portions of other works copied without citation): The article will be rejected for publication in PIKSEL, and authors may be banned from future submissions.
- Author Responsibility: All authors listed are held accountable for their submitted content, as each signs the PIKSEL Journal Publication Ethics Statement Form. If plagiarism is confirmed, all authors face the same consequences.
- Simultaneous Submissions: If an article is found to have been submitted to PIKSEL and another journal concurrently, the action in point 2 applies.
- Other Cases of Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected outside the above criteria, the editorial team reserves the right to impose penalties according to editorial policy.
