Focus and Scope

Optimal: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Kewirausahaan is a journal that publishes current original research on economics and enterpreneurship studies using an interdisciplinary perspective.

The scope of Optimal: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Kewirausahaan:

Economics :

Economics focuses on the behaviour and interactions of economic agent and how economies work. Macroeconomics and microeconomics theories aims to solve economic problems. Macroeconomics analyzes the entire economy (meaning aggregated production, consumption, saving, and investment) and issues affecting it, including unemployment of resources (labour, capital, and land), inflation, economic growth, and the public policies that address these issues (monetary, fiscal, and other policies). Microeconomics analyzes basic elements in the economy, including individual agents and markets, their interactions, and the outcomes of interactions. Individual agents may include, for example, households, firms, buyers, and sellers.

Financial Management :

Financial management is an applied branch of management that looks after the finance function of a business. Financial management mainly on certain episodic events like formation, issuance of capital, major expansion, merger, recognation and liquidation in the lifecycle of the firm.

 Marketing Management :

Marketing management is the organizational discipline which focuses on the practical application of marketing orientation, techniques and methods inside enterprises and organizations and on the management of a firm's marketing resources and activities.

Human Resource Management :

Human resource management is an applied branch of management. Its remit is far more limited than that of economics, as it focuses on specific corporate jobs. Human resource management is a contemporary, umbrella term used to describe the management and development of employees in an organization. Human resource management is therefore focused on a number of major areas, including: Recruiting and staffing, Compensation and benefits, Training and learning, Labor and employee relations, Organization development.

Operational Management :

Operations management is the administration of business practices to create the highest level of efficiency possible within an organization. Operations management is concerned with converting materials and labor into goods and services as efficiently as possible

Enterpreneurship :

Entrepreneurship is an effort to create value added by combining resources through creative and innovative ways to win the competition. The scope of entrepreneurship includes: agricultural fields business (agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, plantations and forestry), mining and energy/extractive fields, industrial business fields, trading business ,and services business.
