Abstract

This paper aims to explain why women's political rights are marginalized at the Biringkassi Village level. Studies on the marginalization of women's political rights are still lacking and need to be given attention as a form of concern. In reviewing the concept of political rights is used. While the choice of research method is qualitative. By using two data collection techniques, namely interviews, and literature. The result is that women are marginalized due to two factors. First, the level of education is low so they do not have political awareness. the implication is that women are easily mobilized in every election. Second, the issue of political rights is still dominated by men. Women still depend on the power of their husbands in the election. With these conditions, it is necessary to find a way out so that women have awareness and knowledge. One of the offers is to provide assistance and training simultaneously. In this way, women are expected to have knowledge of political rights and obligations as individuals and citizens.
