General Author Guidelines

  1. The Manuscript should be written in Indonesian or English and have never been published or is not in the process of submission for publication to other media and should not contain elements of plagiarism.
  2. The Manuscript may take the form of research, case studies, or literary studies.
  3. The author should register as an author. The guides to register and submit the paper are shown at the end of this page.
  4. The Manuscript will be published in Kybernan after being reviewed by peer-reviewers.
  5. The Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines and Template. The manuscript template can be downloaded here.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Structure of the manuscripts

  1. Title. Instructions/Template for Preparing Manuscript for Kybernan Journal (Font Calibri, 16pt, Bold, Uppercase, Center, and max 16 words).
  2. Author’s names and institutions. The author's name should be accompanied by the author's institution, institution's address, and email address, without any academic titles or job titles.
  3. Abstract. The abstract should be in one paragraph. The font is Calibri, 10 pt, italic, and justify. The abstract is 150-300 words, which is followed by 3-5 keywords. The abstract should succinctly describe your entire paper. It comprises the purposes of the research, the method, and the research findings, Novelty.
  4. Keywords. List three to five pertinent keywords specific to the article; yet reasonably common within the subject discipline; use lowercase except for names
  5. Introduction. This section discusses the purposes of the study or research problems, the contribution to knowledge, and the research gap. Please state them clearly in the beginning paragraph supported by related theories in the next paragraphs. INTRODUCTION to CONCLUSION should be 4.000 – 5.250 words. First subheading: Calibri 12, bold, italic, justify, sentence case. Second subheading: Calibri 12, Bold, italic, justify, sentence case.  See the end of the document for further details on references. Technical terms should be defined. Symbols, abbreviations, and acronyms should be defined the first time they are used. All tables and figures should be cited in numerical order. The research method should be included in the Introduction. The method contains an explanation of the research approach, subjects of the study, the conduct of the research procedure, the use of materials and instruments, data collection, and analysis techniques.
  6. Research Method. This section explains the rationale for the application of specific approaches, methods, procedures, or techniques used to identify, select, and analyze information applied to understand the research problem/project, thereby, allowing the readers to critically evaluate your project’s/study's overall validity and reliability.
  7. Results & Discussion The discussion is written to interpret and describe the significance of your findings in light of what was already known about the issues being investigated, and to explain any new understanding or insights about the problem after you have considered the findings. It should connect to the introduction by way of the research questions or hypotheses you posed and the literature you reviewed, but it does not simply repeat or rearrange the introduction; this section should always explain how your study has moved the reader's understanding of the research problem forward from where you left them at the end of the introduction.  The research findings in the form of research data are further discussed or critically interpreted with a particular relevant theoretical approach. Data can also be supported with the presentation of tables, images, etc. Captions for the table are written above it with sequenced numbering so that it can be easily referred to, though not put under the pointing sentence/ paragraph. The line (border) to the table is made minimalist by eliminating the vertical lines and leaving horizontal lines deemed necessary. Captions for images are placed below the picture, also providing sequenced numbering. One page only accommodates a table or an image with a maximum of two-thirds the size of the page (size adjusted as efficiently as possible).
  8. Conclusion. The conclusion is intended to answer the research problems or purposes. It helps the readers understand why your research should matter to them after they have finished reading the paper. It is not just a summary of the main topics covered or a re-statement of your research problem, but a synthesis of key points and, if applicable, where you recommend new areas for future research
  9. References. Kybernan uses APA 6th referencing style. The references should be in alphabetical order, Use Calibri (12), 1,5 spaced. The minimum requirement is 20 references. It is preferable to have an academic journal as the references published in the last 10 years except for main references of particular theories. It is suggested to apply reference software like Mendeley, Zotero, or Endnote
