Analisis Sektor Ekonomi Terhadap Kinerja Ekonomi Regional Pangandaran: Pendekatan Geografi Spasial

Abstract

The development of efficient and sustainable economic sector plays a crucial role in supporting regional economic growth. In the context of Pangandaran, a major tourist destination in West Java, the relationship between transportation infrastructure efficiency and regional economic performance becomes an intriguing subject of research. This study aims to explore the relationship between transportation infrastructure efficiency, geographic factors, and regional economic performance in Pangandaran. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach by analyzing secondary data from various sources such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Ministry of Transportation. Spatial analysis and regression models are used to understand the relationship between key variables, including transportation infrastructure efficiency and regional economic performance, considering geographic factors as control variables. The research findings indicate a significant relationship between transportation infrastructure efficiency and regional economic performance in Pangandaran. More efficient transportation infrastructure contributes positively to economic growth, while geographic factors such as topography and relative distance also influence the dynamics of this relationship. Policy implications include increased investment in developing efficient transportation infrastructure, empowering local communities, and collaboration among institutions and private sectors to achieve sustainable development. This study makes a significant contribution to understanding the importance of efficient transportation infrastructure in supporting regional economic growth, particularly in the context of Pangandaran. The research findings are expected to serve as a foundation for more effective and sustainable development policy formulation in Pangandaran and similar regions.
