PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM MENJAGA HUTAN KOTA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) Know the benefits of City Forest for the surrounding community. (2) Know the form of community participation in maintaining urban forests. (3) Determine the level of community participation in maintaining urban forests. This research uses the method of literature study, the writing in this study is descriptive. The data sources used in this study are secondary data sources in the form of journals, books, encyclopedias, papers and other data sources that are relevant and related to research on community participation in maintaining urban forests. Based on the results of a review of previous research, it can be concluded that urban forests are an area needed in a city, because in urban forests there are enormous benefits for the city itself. The existence of urban forests also needs to be supported by high public awareness in participating in maintaining urban forests. One form of community participation in maintaining urban forests is by planting trees, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and conducting socialization to invite the community to jointly protect urban forests. A high level of community participation in urban forests will result in urban forests that are maintained and can be utilized optimally
