Abstract

Steam power plant (PLTU) is a generator that relies on the kinetic energy of steam to generate electrical energy. The
main form of this type of power plant is the generator that is connected to a turbine driven by the kinetic power of hot /
dry steam. In any combustion that occurs inside the boiler using coal fuel it will generate hot gas that must be
discharged by utilizing the vacuum from the ID Fan and releasing it into the atmosphere. Gas Water Heater is a device
that utilizes convection heat transfer from boiler exhaust heat to heat Primary Air and Secondary Water. The Air
Heater gas is located between the Economizer and the Electrostatic Precipitator. From the calculation of Efficiency in
Gas Water Heater A and B we can know that there has been a decrease in performance compared with the initial
design. Efficiency in Heater A Water Gas decreased by 0.168% while for Gas Water Heater B decreased by 1.463%
from design data of 66.17%.
